The scene at the top of my home page (and this one) isn't real. It was made from a photo of Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe in Scotland. I flipped it horizontally to give a lighter background on the left, and compressed the sky and the top of the hills. Otherwise, it's as I took it, which doesn't say much for the original! I think it was taken with a Kodak DC215, which should explain the lack of clarity.
